Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks offer height and versatility. These models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts could not move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in construction and agriculture. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to apply uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It comes with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift will usually use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform which is designed to raise employees is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
