The Combilift company was established by two engineers, Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar. Between them, they had more than four decades of engineering experience when they founded the company during the year 1998 in Monaghan, Ireland. In just over ten years, Combilift became a leader within the long handling market all over the globe, delivering machines to over 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors which have helped expand distribution into numerous markets all over the world and using their extensive experience and knowledge, Moffett and McVicar have created equipment which are in high demand and had sold 10,000 units by mid 2009.
Below is a summary of several of the Combilift models.
There are a variety of mast options for the C-Series Combilifts, while these machines provide as much as nine meters and lift capacities that top out at 25,000 kilograms. Engines are available in electric or battery, LPG or gas and diesel and the C-Series Combilifts can operate in guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
Combilift Straddle Carriers offer the ability to transport oversized, heavy cargo such as fully loaded containers that weigh as much as 35 tons. These loads can be transported all over a work site or facility and the Combilift Straddle Carrier could raise fully loaded containers where required, whether it be from the ground to the trailer, from trailer to trailer or from the trailer to the ground. These machines are a cost-effective, efficient solution for a lot of shipping, haulage, and distribution businesses, even those kinds with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series side-loaders are equipment capable of driving in four directions thanks to its multi-directional steering. This all-wheel drive, hydrostatic forklift can benefit companies in many ways, one of which is to allow facilities to have narrower aisles. It also allows the capability to bulk or block stack by driving forward. This highly manoeuvrable truck is normally considered to be a better alternative compared to numerous typical sit-down sideloaders due to the many extra features and capabilities.
